"Locata Corporation has a 'classic' Australian start-up story… inventing amazing new technology yet still finding it difficult to make the venture capital gatekeepers understand the value of our work. We developed a disruptive technology that enables easy, instant, GPS-style positioning in almost any environment. Fourteen months later, we can now provide a GPS-style network that a customer can own and control over any area they define. This allows a customer to develop business applications that can depend on reliable and accurate positioning, thus relieving many problems caused by using signals received only from GPS satellites.
