Directly investing in technology companies

 
In select instances, Omniton will directly invest in early-stage Australian technology companies, sometimes by way of performing consulting work for some combination of fees and equity.

We practice "roll-up-the-sleeves" active investing. We don't just "invest" in companies, we help to "nurture" them. As active investors, we often take a seat on the board of the technology companies we're investing in. However, we do not define active investing as simply showing up every six weeks to monitor our investment at a board meeting. We continuously help to build early stage, high potential technology companies by helping to:

• recruit top-tier management and board members;
• solve strategic problems;
• identify and secure key channels and partners;
• define organisational structure; and
• raise additional capital.
