Fund Raising for Technology Companies

Omniton have been successful at helping technology companies raise first and subsequent round funding. In our fund raising work, the methodology we use is very similar to our consulting practice. First we employ a fact-based, quantitative approach to help value your business, evaluate the key growth opportunities, and quantify key investment risks. We then bring a thorough knowledge of the capital markets and financing issues to the table, in order to develop a executable fund raising strategy.

Omniton brings a unique perspective to our fund raising advisory work. Because we also work closely with investment fund managers, venture capitalists and private investors when they are looking for investments opportunities, we know what they need to know, what they are looking for, what turns them on and off, and how to best put your case to them. Active Investing in Technology Companies

In select instances, Omniton will directly invest in high potential Australian technology companies, sometimes by way of performing consulting work for some combination of fees and equity.

We practice "roll-up-the-sleeves" active investing. We don't just "invest" in companies, we help to "nurture" them. As active investors, we often take a seat on the board of the technology companies we're investing in. However, we do not define active investing as simply showing up every six weeks to monitor our investment at a board meeting. We continuously help to build early stage, high potential technology companies by helping to:

  • recruit top-tier management and board members;
  • solve strategic problems;
  • identify and secure key channels and partners;
  • define organisational structure; and
  • raise additional capital.

We will also take on interim operating roles when appropriate.
